Pissed Off Moms

Help us build the cultural force of motherhood.

Pissed Off Moms is an artist collective for mothers — and we're building it a home. Not a white-wall gallery, but a living room: a third space where you can bring your kid, make a thing, drink a coffee, and exhale.

We're opening a founding round to put down roots in San Francisco — a real place, made by mothers, with mothers, for mothers. Come in as a patron, a founding member, or an investor in the room we've all been missing.

Three things, one regenerative loop.

This isn't three businesses stacked on top of each other — it's one living thing that feeds itself. Artists in residence shape what gets made and what goes on the walls. What they make carries the work out into the world and transforms the room. The room gathers the community that powers the next residency. Regenerative, round and round.

01

The residency.

Artists in residence are the engine. They influence what gets made, what goes on the walls, and what transforms the living space — every season, a new hand on the room.

02

The make.

Merch and murals. The residency's work becomes wearables, editions, and painted walls that carry the politics of the room to people who haven't walked in yet — and fund the space while they do it.

03

The living room.

A third space, not separate tables — a living room and gallery in San Francisco where you bring your kid, make a thing, drink a coffee, and exhale. The community we grow here feeds the whole loop back to the start.

Motherhood is becoming a cultural force. We're done waiting for someone else's idea of the room.

For too long we treated motherhood like a monolith — self-sacrificing, invisible, stained leggings and a tidy smile. I felt that erasure in my own early motherhood. Pissed Off Moms exists because mothers exist in multitudes.

Inside POM, there might be two "artists" in the room but everyone makes art. This is the room where the craft being made on the sidelines of motherhood is honored. That the art you made with your 5 year old is honored. Where the art you make in the studio is honored all the same.

Our society runs on the starving-artist story. The tech world I came from runs on abundance — go for it, there's so much. We're bringing that gusto here: a creative practice that actually sustains us, held by a collective, so no mother has to choose between making art and making a living.

We didn't pitch this from a deck. We made it happen first.

We didn't start with a pitch deck. We started with a room full of moms, kids running around us, art filling the walls. Mothers feeling seen. Now we want a place we can call home.
